The last time I was in LA was back in the summer of 2003. I had loads of fun visiting the many amusement parks but I was glad to get back home to Alabama/Georgia. I made a huge scrapbook as a keepsake from my California journey but I don't think I'll be sad if I never go back. So, I'm praying selfishly that the Lord moves Frank, you, and the boys back to the south in the future.

Thanks Jawan! I am selfishly praying we can come back too. Right now, it looks as if we probably will come back next year when Frank finishes. The biggest reason is that it is just too expensive to live here unless you make at least $100G/year. Frank and I are always talking about how in the world folks can afford to live out here with cost of living so high. I can tell you that the middle class out here lives as cheap as they can--b/c all their income goes for expenses--and both parents usually HAVE to work, just to make it. I heard of one insane story where this guy has to work downtown and commutes 2 hours in and 2 hours out to be able to have a nice enough job to drive his new BMW. The really sad part is, he takes his 2 year-old in the car with him every day b/c the daycare is close to his work! I was appalled--It's so sad! I'll definitely be glad to move to a slower pace of life. And I'll appreciate every minute of it!
